Dining with Cheer!

As I had mentioned in the kitchen blog, I didn't pull out every bit of holiday decor this year but still felt some cheer had to go in each room. For the dining room, I still placed the trees on either side of the mantle with Santa ornaments and of course had to had the stockings with care!

On the buffet I placed the manager. No Christmas decor could be complete in a Christian home without a manger display. Afterall, Jesus is the reason for the season!

For the table and centerpiece, I also kept it simple so there was less to move when I actually need to eat on the table. I layer out a beautiful tapestry and topped it in the middle with a leopard Santa runner that my mom made for me a few years back. I kept my wooden lazy Susan and filled a silver punch bowl with a little greenery and some antique Christmas bulbs. I then just added silver candlesticks with some glitzy red tapers.

Below is the overall view of the dining room... you can see I hide Dante's little crate/house under the buffet. It fits in there perfectly and he likes to go in there sometimes so I can't store it away.

I added nothing new this year in the dining room. Comment below.... what did you do for dining room decor this year? Did you add any new pieces? Also click the subscribe link on the right to get an email when a new blog posts. I will be posting room by room in the coming weeks and days.
